About this image

Inspired by Callum's Observer's Challenge - In The Glare Of Starlight I decided to have a shot at Abell12. Abell 12 is a planetary nebula in the constellation of Orion. It is known as the "hidden planetary" nebula because it lies in the glare of 4th magnitude star Mu Orionis. To control the glare I blended luminance data with Ha data.

Great stuff. The best Abell 12 I've seen!
