About this image

The Altai Scarp is part of the western rim of the Nectaris Basin. The southern end of the scarp terminates at the crater Piccolomini. Also visible in the upper left quadrant of this image is the short, bright, linear feature known as "Larrieu's Dam", which is part of the wall of the small crater Polybius K just below it.
