About this image

I was treated to some good seeing conditions on the evening of the 22nd. Deslandres is a large, ancient crater formation which contains many interesting features including crater chains and rilles. it only received it's name officially in the 1940s and a commonly used name before was Hell Plain after the crater Hell which lies in the western part of the feature. I think I prefer Hell Plain.
