About this image

Omega Centauri is an amazing sight in any small telescope, but sadly it is not visible from UK latitudes.  From our Spanish observatory at 37 degrees north it pops above the horizon for a short while, but from Fort Davis, Texas at 30.5 degrees north there is just that bit more space to allow a decent image to be captured.  Loyd has managed to capture this nice image of the globular cluster and I'm not sure we've ever featured it as PotW.
