About this image

This 17th mag comet discovered back in 2019 is just past perihelion but still 5 au from the Sun and Earth. It has a long tail to the SE which has been growing for some time. Irritatingly when I imaged it last night it was close to group of bright stars but with a strong stretch I can follow the tail for around 5 arcmin. Other observers at darker sites are measuring longer values. The latest images are in the Comet Section archive here.
