About this image

Mercury imaged in rather hazy conditions at the end of the recent period of fine weather. The planet was difficult to locate due to reduced contrast with the sky, and the contrast in the image is also lower as a result. Nevertheless, some features are visible matching those seen on the reference image, especially near the bright limb.
