About this image

Sometimes a negative image of solar filaments allows them to take on a 3D effect.

This image was caught from a 1000 frame sequence using techniques described in 'Solar Astronomy' edited by Christian Viladrich.

Using Shadow/Highlights option in Photoshop you can record filaments and proms from the same sequence without having to stack them.
