About this image

An early morning view of the eastern sky from our garden in France. Orion is just appearing between the rooftops, while Taurus and Auriga lie higher in the sky. Dawn is just beginning to break with some colouration of the low clouds. I had been observing the Perseids but failed to capture any images of meteor trails with my rather simple equipment.

You're not alone! 180 images last night and the only meteor trail was only partly on the frame.
