Jupiter & Callisto, 17th September 2021

About this image

Last night's transit of Callisto was over before Jupiter was accessible from my location. The shadow transit started at 22:41 UT, by which time the seeing had degraded to Ant IV - III, making imaging very difficult. A couple of the videos were good enough to show some cloud detail, as well as Callisto's shadow on the edge of the GRS as it moved onto the disk.
