29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann change in 24 hours

About this image

Comet 29P compared and captured over two successive nights.  North is top of image and East to left. The second night is unfiltered but both are colour images of the comet in outburst. The background stars show the relkatively short distance travelled by the comet across the sky in 24hours.

The first night I was forced to use a luminance filter as it was stuck on my off-axis guider.  The second night I managed to release the luminance filter through placing the unit in my freezer and then some light tapping with a small hammer before trying to release the filter.
