About this image

First visit to Skipsea holiday park on the east coast the weather forecast for the days we were here was not very promising.  The skies cleared on the Monday and Wednesday. Surprisingly the sky was fairly dark, the milky way was very obvious especially in the zenith. On the eastern side near the sea the sky was probably around Bortle 4, but this was interrupted by the Lighthouse at Flamborough head. Still better than nothing
