A second image of this beautiful edge-on spiral galaxy, using a much longer exposure - 69 min as against 6min. Bortle 7/8, light cloud.

It was discovered by William Herschel in October 1784. What a night that must have been!

Distance c.30million ly. Diameter c.120,000ly.
