About this image

NGC 2276: Considering that this galaxy is only 0.3 magnitudes fainter than its neighbour NGC 2300, and of the same surface brightness (at least according to DSFG), it is astonishingly difficult. Very, very faint. Barely visible and then mostly to averted vision. Difficult, very small and round. A tiny nucleus was suspected with averted vision.

NGC 2300: Fairly bright, small and round. Much brighter in the middle where there is a bright nucleus.
