About this image

Yet another in the series of images of minor satellites in the outer solar system. The left pane shows the trail of J-XII as it moved during the exposure. The right pane has the subs stacked on the satellite which now appears as a circular dot amidst trailed stars. Tracking wasn't very good on this occasion and so the supposedly circular stars are not quite.

Ananke was predicted to be magnitude 18.7 at the time of observation.
