About this image

Part of the Winter Milky Way in Gemini taken with a camera and telephoto lens mounted on a Vixen Polarie tracker.

M35 is at the right hand side with NGC2158 just below it.

The brightest stars are Mu and Eta Gem. To my considerable surprise the supernova remnant IC443 is faintly visible just above the line joining these two stars. Worth a revisit with a longer exposure.
