About this image

This event was brought to my attention by Denis Buczynski, leading me to check my north-facing video meteor cameras. It wasn't recorded on my Leeds_N (UFO) camera because its slow movement was below its motion-detection threshold. It was captured by my RMS cameras UK001H (6mm lens) and UK0036 (16mm lens), shown here as a GIF of 10s composite images from UK0036.

Thanks to Nick James and others for their work in identifying the progenitor of this luminous halo with a star-like centre.
