About this image

Weinberger 3-1 (We3-1, PK 044+10.1, PN G044.3+10.4) is a planetary nebula in Hercules. This is a highly evolved and extremely faint planetary with low surface brightness. It was discovered in 1978 by Ronald Weinberger. I has a size of 175 arc sec. I believe that this is the first ever deep image of this target as none others can be found online. The only other image that I could find was captured by Jim Shuder in 2010 https://www.pbase.com/image/126144277
Image captured on my remote dual rig at Fregenal de la Sierra in Spain between 30 April and 8 May 2022.
