About this image

Better conditions today than on the 5th of July, with Ant II - III seeing for more than 20 minutes. Mercury was just over 10 degrees from the Sun, and close to the minimum elongation for my telescope without sunlight hitting the edge of the primary mirror.

The data was good enough quality to permit image processing entirely in software (PIPP and Registax 5), avoiding the need for manual frame selection, and the stack sizes were larger than on the 5th as well. The resulting image compares well with the blurred WinJupos map for the day.
