This rich open cluster (class I1r) was discovered by Caroline Herschel in May 1784, and then 'lost' until it was 'rediscovered' 40 years later.

Dist c.7,200ly. Age c.2.5billion ly.

Bortle 7/8. Moon waxing gibbous 99% 14 days old, but low in the S and conveniently - for once - partially hidden by trees.
