Title

Transit of Iapetus imaging attempt

About this image

This was my attempt to image the transit.  Saturn is only visible from my location until it reaches due South.  An hour before that I still had hazy cloud blocking my view of Saturn.  When it cleared the 'seeing' was far worse than the previous night.  I ran five videos over a 20 minute period before I lost Saturn from view. Of the five videos only two were good enough to stack. This is from the best of those two and was my longest clear video.  On close inspection I can line up a faint smudge in the right place per WinJUPOS but it isn't obvious without overlaying the WinJUPOS image.
