Borisov's Variable Nebula
About this image
Borisov's variable nebula is at the centre of the main image. A magnified view is shown in the bottom left hand corner. No changes in appearance since my last view of it here on 20th June. Next time I think I will try 2 hours exposure to show it more clearly as it's not very obvious!

Grant - only just spotted your comment about going for Borisov's VN instead of Mr G!
I did a partial process that night but as nothing much had changed I decided to post in the morning.... and forgot. :)
Perhaps we need a rota. :)
One query: what software populates the grey border on the bottom of your images? That would be useful. I could write my own, but I'm too busy.
Very nice images from both of you. Have you considered combining all of your recent images to give a deeper, averaged portrait of this object?
Mike.
I use Paint Shop Pro to stick the image onto a simple grey background template and then add the text info. It's a bit of a faff and there are probably slicker ways of doing it.
Sounds like how I have done it in the past. Hoped there was a slick utility that picked up the info from a FITS header or something similar.
