This loose open cluster (Class III2p), consisting of about 40 stars, was discovered by William Herschel in September 1784. The bright star is 20 Vul, mag. 5.9.

Diameter c.12ly. Apparent size 20x20'. Distance c.2,000 lys. Age c.1.4billion years.
