About this image

This planetary nebula, one of the closest to us, was discovered by Karl Ludwig Harding (1765-1834). 

This ghostly image from the COAST seems (to my eye at least) to be pulsating/mobile! Perhaps an optical illusion arising from the colour combination.

Distance c.655ly. Apparent mag. 7.6. Apparent size c.25'. Diameter c.5.74ly. Age c.9,400-12,900ly.
