A globular cluster far, far away - M81's brightest GC

About this image

The inset picture of the image highlights M81's brightest globular cluster.  Having read about the cluster in https://academic.oup.com/mnras/article/436/3/2763/1267147 I was able to identify it in my own image of M81 taken with a Celestron 9.25 EdgeHD scope at /f7.0. The paper refers to M81's brightest globular cluster as GC-1.

81x600s light frames of M81 were captured in February 2021 and January & February 2022.

Very nice!

Been looking for any of the others? I can provide a table of co-ordinates, which is also linked from one of my images.

Paul, I would very much appreciate the table of coordinates.  I have found your excellent image and the cited reference.  Thank you.

Let me see what I can do.

Unfortunately the current incarnation of britastro.org makes it a PITA (or so it seems to me) to send you an email. I am, amongst others, paul.leyland (at) gmail.com. Please drop me a line.
