About this image

A COAST image (restricted to 3min. exposure) of this faint and elusive irregular galaxy in Cassiopeia. It was discovered by Lewis Swift in 1887, and is a member of the Local Group.

Diameter c.12,400ly.  Distance c.2.6million ly. Apparent mag. 10.4.
