CH4 camera comparison

About this image

This is a deliberate comparison beteen the acknowledged most sensitive planetary cameras in IR and at methane (CH4) bands in the last couple of years, those with the 462 colour chip and a new mono camera on the block, the QHY5111200M.  The QHY camera has a QE spec worse than the 462 in CH4 and IR frequencies but similar to the 290 mono cameras.  However users have found that it outperforms the 290 version and appears to be even more sensitive than the 462.  I put them both to the test with the same exposure and gain settings and these are the results.
