Jupiter CH4 camera comparisons

About this image

This may be of interest to anyone thinking about which planetary camera might suit imaging in CH4 for Jupiter.  I've compared three recent cameras with varying degrees of known sensitivity in IR that is higher than cameras available for planetary imaging in the past.

The ASI462 has the highest QE rating for IR and the CH4 range then the Uranus-C and finally the mono QHY5111200M, although the gain settings needed for these images would suggest the opposite pecking order with the QHY strongest visually in CH4, then the Uranus-C and finally the ASI462MC.

In post-processing the QHY5111200M and the Uranus-C are very similar with good contrast and detail, the QHY just the more contrasted to my eye, but the more sensitive 462MC also has a more washed out appearance.  Curious and interesting!
