NGC436 is a class I3m open cluster in Cassiopeia. It was discovered by William Herschel in November 1787.

Distance c.9,800 ly. Age c.85million years.  Apparent mag. c.8.8.

Bortle 7/8. Moon waxing gibbous, 85%, 11 days.
