About this image

The first time in months since I have been able to go out to image. The humidity was high and I did not have my dew bands turned up high enough, so I had to crop the image to remove the effects of the fogging.

The Sword area of Orion is a target that I have to image each year and with the appalling weather we have had here near the south cost I was not sure when we will see another clear sky.

M42 is often shown very much more red than I have processed it. I used Pixinsight and their photometric colour calibration, which I have always been very happy with. I'd be interested to hear what folks think about the colour rendition.

Clear Skies.
