About this image

Using a manual Dob I don't normally select a target as the target selects me. After tapping the tube repeatedly it settled on Moretus and Clavius. Some pleasing shadows were visible. Charles Wood's "The Modern Moon" informs me that Moretus has the highest central peak on the nearside. The shadow certainly looks long here.
