About this image

A group of eight, not seven, galaxies that consists of NGC 3748, NGC 3754, NGC 3750, NGC 3751, NGC 3745, NGC 3753, NGC 3746 and PGC 36010. The group was named after Ralph Copeland, who discovered them in April 1874 using the Rosse 72" Leviathan. They lie at a disatnce of 400 million light years from Earth.
