About this image

This was primarily a test run of my solar set up following modifications and tuning. Banding (Newton's Rings) was successfully removed from the full disc solar image by adding a camera tilt adjuster. Contrast and detail was improved by carefully tuning the etalon to the optimal part of solar disc (centre). This gave good detail and reasonable contrast across the disc for the first time (for me). There is an interesting prominence close to the Sun's edge at around 70 degrees right.
