I started observing under Middlesex skies with a small reflecting telescope in 1997. Like many others I upgraded to a Meade SCT LX200 Classic 10" nearly twenty years ago. This remains my main telescope . After some repairs, it's now permanently mounted in my roll-off roof observatory in the Scottish Lowlands where I now live. I'm currently trying wide field deep sky imaging through a 60mm refractor piggy backed on the SCT. My previously attempts at imaging were short exposures of the Moon and planets using a Toucam webcam and a colour SXMX5C. I have seen the Southern Sky in South Africa from the edge of the Great Karoo - Omega Centauri through a 16" Dobsonian was spectacular.
