About this image

Ths is the second stage of test comparisons I am running to try to get the best out of Venus from my cameras.

These are four images of Venus switching between an ASI178MM used directly and a QHY5111200M used with my fuesd silica Barlow.  The ASI178MM images have been increased by 10% to match image scale.  The seeing as usually gradually improved during the session so the QHY had the benefit of marginally better seeing conditions.  It was however noticeable that at the start of the QHY 8bit images the first four videos I took had an artefact that did not appear in the later 8bit images and when switched to 16bit and did not appear in any of the ASI178MM images, which were all taken at 8bit right up to just before the offending QHY videos.

Excellent work capturing these low contrast and subtle cloud features. This sort of image was only obtained from spacecraft a decade ago!
