About this image

A lucky capture and one for which I must thank fellow BAA member Sally Russell - we were comparing solar kit in my garden when she spotted this visually through her Quark combination and I was able to capture the event on camera through my set-up. Doubly lucky as only a few minutes after as the flare faded so did the Sun from view behind local obstructions.
