R Corona Borealis on the dip

About this image

Not easy before midnight in midsummer but R Corona Borealis, normally magnitude 6, is dimming dramatically again. The magnitude 7.4 star shown to its north is brighter. R CrB is now much fainter than this (as of 2023-06-13)  and needs watching.
