About this image

It isn't possible to detect any detail on the night side of Venus in daylight and in fact I had thought it impossible to detect the night side at all until very close to sunset or at night. On the current elongation I lose Venus behind obstructions well before sunset. Despite this while experimenting with kit I am planning to use on the night side in September I found I had detected the night side although no features.
