Title

Unusual alignment of Saturn's moons

About this image

A fortuitous alignment of six of Saturn's main moons on the 17th, as we look at its ring plane at a angle - although the angle is decreasing each year until we cross the ring plane.

Unfortunately an over-exposed Saturn to make sure of capturing the moons meant that Enceladus and Mimas were washed out in the glow of Saturn or I could have had eight main moons!
