Daytime Venus at 1000-1020 nm on 23rd July

About this image

Part of my ongoing experiments prior to the favourable elongation of Venus for Northern hemisphere observers in September for night side captures.   This shows the thin (12.5%) crescent on the left and on the right an over-exposed day side image which just picks out the faint night side, even though this picture was taken in the afternoon with the Sun still some distance above the horizon.    The thermal heat map (via Anthony Wesley) loaded into WinJUPOS (yellow is the darkest visually and dark green the next darkest) appears to show a possible match with the image.
