About this image

This pn was on my lists of to-dos.  I was interested in a comparison with an image by David Strange.  My effort turned out OK despite some cloud interference and the never-ending number of satellite trails!   Guiding with SW 80mm F/5, ASI120 and PHD2.  I used 2x(5R+5G+5B) at 2min subs.

Acquisition with SharpCap, TEC -15C, gain 180, offset 200.  The darks with 2 min subs failed so i used the 1min subs from the archive - it worked !

The luminance was unfiltered so included 400-900nm, requiring a re-focus.

Total time 85 min.  Processing with DSS and AstroArt.
