As I am sure happens elsewhere conversation at the Lincoln AS often covers topics other than astronomy. Recently Dave was enquiring of Steve whether he had an observatory on his model railway layout. A week later Dave turns up with a 3D printed observatory with dome to OO scale. Keeping the tale short, Steve has gone away and produced this lovely model based on the LAS observatory, complete with pigeon on the dome. Steve organises the group visits to our observatory and plans to make some more to sell to our members and visitors.
