About this image

Moving rapidly at 14 arcsec /min in PA 113. The image is stacked on the comet using Astrometrica. Darks applied in DSS, processed in AstroArt5. Imaged in a slightly hazy sky, and some frames may have been effected by nearby fire-work flashes. The reported Aurora was not apparent at the time.

The image is cropped to remove the edges, So about 0.2 deg. Tail is 7minarc as far as the edge of the frames (may have gone further).

Not visible in 10x50 bins, but the sky transparency was deteriorating at the time.
