'Ring of Fire' - Last light over Tycho

About this image

A rare opportunity on the early morning of 6 December 2023 to capture the final minutes of sunset over Crater Tycho, when the highest peaks around the northern, eastern and southern rim still catch the setting Sun in a broken ring of light projecting from the terminator. Quite a sight, for which I have waited a long time!
