About this image

Absolutely loads going on here.

C29P has a very small ecentricity. Only 0.0445, and is a "Centaur" orbiting between orbits of Jupiter and Neptune. Currently approx 5.1AU from Earth.

It is past it's perihelion which was in April 2019. I have some nice images from 2021/22 but not as clear as this.

There was excellent seeing last night. In this image also are some galaxies UGC4386, UGC 4399 and just in frame at the top UGC2595 all around Mag 14 to 15. Also a load more small fuzzies - not in any of the databases I have, but I have fully registered this image and using aperture photometry we are down to Mag 16 and 17 territory.

Also in the image are some noticable short trails about 0.5 arcsec long. One is particularly noticable about 1/2way down from the comet, and 5 arcses to the left. No idea what these are, but they are not imaging artefacts as I took a bit of time with hot pixels and defect map on this one, as well as dithering the subs. They are definately moving objects.

Anyone any ideas?
