About this image

An experiment that pleasingly worked first time !  The NEO was discovered at the start of the year, and the ephemeris was good enough to find it. I plugged the orbit into Skymap Pro and took 30s exposures, a bit of a risk since the asteroid was moving at 9.7 arcsec/min, but it worked.  Astrometrica track and stack on two sets of exposure about 1 hr apart shows the asteroid as a slightly elongated dot (circled in blue).

Image B is the later observation, and in the upper left of B, is a green circle marking the asteroid position shown in Image A.  Its moved !

The asteroid is mag 18.7.  There are many objects listed.  I chose one of the brighter ones.  Many(most) NEOs are fainter 20.
