Development of massive prominence on 12th February

About this image

I had rushed out to image the large sunspot in the brief time my garden pier can home in on the Sun in winter when I was alerted by a fellow BAA member to the large prominence that had formed. I only had 40 minutes in total but during that time the prominence changed remarkably rapidly. These are four negative images of the event.
