Michael, All of us who were unable to witness this spectacular event in person, I am sure, must thank you for producing this composite image: one that gives a true impression of what it must have looked like in good binoculars or a small telescope. Much more real than what we saw broadcast live on NASA TV. Glad you had this success.

A superb composite image, Michael. Evoking great memories of my observation of it from Waxahachie, Texas, using the naked-eye and 10x50 binoculars.

May I suggest that the inner corona was brighter, as depicted in Paul Abel's drawing,

Observation by Paul G. Abel: Totality in Waxahachie, Texas USA - BAA Image Library (britastro.org)

fading away to tenuous tendrils as captured in your image.

Cheers,

Alex.
