About this image

First Mercury image of the year- being inspired by cloudless skies and Clyde's Foster's recent images. Not great conditions but some matching albedo detail seen with my 222mm Dob and an Astronomik 642nm filter. A revised spin-blur method to remove edge rind, which was developed in conversation with Clyde a week or so back, and was used here to improve image quality and reveal detail at the limb.
