Equipment
  • Askar FRA400 (400mm FL), HEQ5 PRO, guided, ZWO ASI2600MC Pro, the Optolong L-Pro filter …. All controlled with an ASIair Plus.
Exposure

Subs were L-Pro, 120sec x 794 subs, 26.5hrs Integration time. Darks, 20subs – Flats and Dark flats x 40 each.

About this image

It really is a beautiful galaxy. Amazing to think that less than 100yrs ago most people thought it was a nebula – how far we have come since then – thank you Edwin Hubble.

My image was captured over 6 nights during August and Sept 2023 
– with over 26hrs of integration time.
