Title

Saturn & Titan (& Tethys transit?)

About this image

Quite misty with very poor transparency this morning but as can happen really good seeing.

It was necessary to boost both gain and exposure length to get a decent histogram. While this resulted in fewer frames in each of the RGB videos the good seeing meant it was possible to utilise a higher percentage of frames than usual.

It was particularly pleasing to catch Titan in the frame as well at the 1-o'clock position.

There is also a faint dark spot just above the rings and slightly right of centre. This could be Tethys which was in transit at the time and in that position. Then again, perhaps I am just seeing what I want to see!
